Top 5 Hip Hop Albums.

Hip Hop is full of competition which is an understatement, so much in fact there is a “greatest” list for everything. Everything ranging from emcees, producers to albums. So being the Hip Hop junky that that I am, I thought that I would throw my hat in the ring and make my own greatest list. I present to you Breazy’s top 5 Hip Hop albums of all time. You are more than welcome to agree or disagree if you like, since there is no definitive “top 5” anything. And it’s my post, I can say what I want too.

  1. Yes Breezy, you submitted your Top Five Hip Hop albums of all times. As you stated they are YOUR PICKS. I’m submitting mine and we’ll debate at some point in the future.

    1) Public Enemy – It Takes a Nation to Hold Us Back. (Working Title was Countdown to Armageddon)

    2) Run DMC – Raising Hell

    3) Boogie Down Productions – Criminal Minded

    4) Wildstyle – Original Soundtrack

    5) Ultramagnetic M.C.’s – Critical Beatdown.

  2. Breeze you’re right, there isn’t a definitive top five. I say that there are about 15 to 20 hip hop albums that are the blue prints for what artist are doing today. I’ll list five of them.

Eric B and Rakim – Paid in Full
Boogie Down Productions – Criminal Minded
    N.W.A. – Straight Outta Compton
A Tribe Called Quest – The Low End Theory
Ghetto Boys – Grip it! On That Other Level
