Happy Thanksgiving week everyone, I hope those such as myself that are working Monday – Wednesday, but are off on Thursday and Friday, have a quick but short work week. I’m feeling especially good because my Denver Broncos now have a 3 game lead in the AFC West after beating the San Diego Chargers for the second time this season.
So, Mitt Romney is a sore loser and can’t accept the fact that he lost to Barack Obama. I don’t know if he has a hard time accepting that he lost, or the fact that he lost to a Black man. Either way, you would think that him being a grown ass man, he would accept the defeat and keep it pushing. Instead, Romney blamed his defeat on ‘Gifts promised to minorities (blacks, Hispanics and women) voters by Barack Obama as the reason that he lost the election.
These so-called gifts which Romney refered to are Obama’s evolution on Gay Marriage and the legalization of young undocumented immigrants. If you ask me, Romney is just mad that Obama was the better of the two, and the clear winner who appealed to voters who wanted to see him finish what he started 4 years ago. If Romney wants to be mad at somebody, he should be mad at his home state along with Paul Ryan’s home state since both voted for Obama.
Mittt Romney’s disappointment in his loss was/is shared by his supporters; from voters to Bill O’Reilly who, a couple of hours before President Obama was declared the victor, offered his explanation for why Mitt Romney was about to lose. “Because it’s a changing country, the demographics are changing,” Mr. O’Reilly said. “It’s not a traditional America anymore.” In other words, the problem was too many voters of color. And Bill O’Reilly explained why that is a problem.
“There are 50 percent of the voting public who want stuff. They want things, and who is going to give them things? President Obama. He knows it, and he ran on it. . . . You’re going to see a tremendous Hispanic vote for President Obama. Overwhelming for President Obama, and women will probably break President Obama’s way. People feel that they are entitled to things, and which candidate, between the two, is going to give them things?”
I’m sure in the days following the election you saw the pictures, read the tweets, and saw reports of Mitt Romney supporters that had the gas face looking like they were going to commit mass suicide Jim Jones style and posted racist tweets on twitter, expressing how they really felt about the outcome.
Anybody that has played a sport or took part in a competition knows that there can only be 1 winner and if you are the unlucky person that is the loser, you dust your self off, suck it up and keep stepping, hopefully with dignity and you come back stronger the next time, if not you just fade into the sunset. So many people like Mitt Romney have a sense of entitlement and expect everything to go their way, basically there is no reason why they should lose.
Even though this is not a new phenomenon, this way of thinking seems to be mor prevalent a lot lately; from Donald Trump not accepting that Obama is actually a born American, to kids that taking part in pee wee sports and receiving trophies when they lose. This IMO teaches kids that you don’t have to do anything other than just show up; you don’t have to strive to succeed just show up and you will be rewarded.
Mitt Romeny couldn’t have grown up with me, he would’ve gotten his ass beat for bitch like tendecies (all bitches aren’t women) and probably would have been the last to be picked for a pick up game if picked at all.
So what do you think, does Romney need a little more time to process the loss and then he’ll return to his normal self or did he show his true colors?
Talk to me, I’ll talk back.
